Editorial standards

These standards apply to every page published on QuickBooksFixPro. They exist so readers can judge our work the same way we do.

Accuracy

  • Every technical claim is checked against official documentation — Intuit's QuickBooks help library, Microsoft Learn, or the product's own release notes — before publication.
  • We state the product, edition and version where behavior differs, and we avoid version-specific claims we cannot verify.
  • Where sources disagree or documentation is unclear, we say so instead of guessing.
  • Destructive or data-affecting procedures always appear after a backup step and carry a visible warning.
  • If we discover an error after publication, we correct it. Substantive corrections update the "last reviewed" date.

Sourcing

  • Guides cite official sources. We do not cite forums, competitor pages, or unattributed "support" blogs.
  • Every cited URL is checked before publication. Retired links are replaced or removed.
  • Third-party tools are named only when they are the manufacturer's own tool (for example, Intuit's QuickBooks Tool Hub), never as paid placements.

Authorship and review

  • Byline: QuickBooksFixPro Editorial Team, reviewed by the support team that handles these issues day to day.
  • We do not publish invented authors, invented credentials or invented reviews. If an outside expert reviews a guide, their real name and relevant experience will appear on the page.
  • AI-assisted drafting is disclosed on our methodology page and always followed by the review checklist described there.

Business model and conflicts of interest

  • Support services are our revenue. Guides are free and complete, regardless of whether a reader ever becomes a customer.
  • We do not accept payment to rank, recommend or alter a product, tool or fix.
  • We do not publish fake scarcity, fake countdowns or fake "certified" claims.
  • We are not affiliated with Intuit and we do not present ourselves as Intuit support. QuickBooks is a trademark of Intuit Inc.

Comments, community and third-party content

We do not currently host user-generated content. If we add community features, they will be moderated against these same standards, and sponsored or affiliate content will be labeled clearly.

Corrections policy

  1. Email support@quickbooksfixpro.com with the page URL and the specific problem.
  2. We verify the report against official documentation, usually within a few business days.
  3. If a correction is needed, we make it, update the review date, and reply to you with what changed.
  4. For significant factual errors, the guide remains visible with the corrected information; we do not silently delete pages to hide mistakes.

Content we will not publish

  • Instructions that bypass licensing, activation or security features.
  • Advice that risks data without a backup and warning.
  • Unverified phone numbers, "support" hotlines operated by unrelated companies, or content whose purpose is to mislead users about who they are contacting.
  • Copied content. Every guide is original to this site.
